i created this site because I was angry at my country and couldn't understand how we could let this happen. i now believe it is because most americans haven't seen what this war really looks like.
a lot of people have sent me pictures of september 11th. please stop. i lived in lower manhattan on 9/11. i've seen it in real life.
whether the war was worth it or not that is between you and your conscience. if our cause is just then we should not fear witnessing its cost.
leggendo un po' di blog collegati e i suoi commenti, scopri anche che gli americani - quelli che vanno a votare e usano internet (probabilmente in ohio non è ancora arrivata la fibra ottica e manco l'analogico, magari non hanno cavi del telefono abbastanza lunghi) - sanno anche discutere in maniera più costruttiva di noi italiani sulla guerra, le sue cause e le sue conseguenze: cioè scrivono commenti più lunghi di due righe sapendo articolare qualcosa che non sia solo sputo e insulto (alla borghezio), ma che ricordi vagamente soggetto-verbo-complemento. puoi non essere d'accordo con tutti, ma scopri che ci stanno pensando. saranno un diesel dalla carburazione lenta, ma ci stanno pensando.
e per chi si domanda perché "soprattutto" immagini di civili: You see photos of the violence committed by the insurgents on the news already, and there is no need to post them here. This website exists to balance things by presenting photos that don't make it onto the news. The point is that there is loss on both sides. But if you insist that the two-year old with his leg blown off is one of the bad guys, then there is no arguing with you
